Myra Elaine Buchman was born in Mobile, Alabama, on December 13, 1958. She is single and has no children.

Myra received her bachelors and masters degrees in Social Work from the University of Alabama. After graduation, Myra worked as a social worker in Birmingham, Alabama, for several years, prior to moving to Atlanta, Georgia.

Myra currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where she is a medical social worker at the rehab center at Dekalb Regional Healthcare Center.
