Tomases (Moishe Dov), in Wilmington, Delaware. Morris was born on June 1, 1894, in Iasi, Rumania, and had come to the United States in 1913.

Morris was a cabinetmaker and served as foreman in the cabinet, woodmachine and glass department of the Pullman Railroad Car Company. Nettie was a housewife.
