Murry Maisel was born on March 18, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey. On June 13, 1949, he married Laura Zlatkoff at the Military Park Hotel in Newark, New Jersey. Laura was born on April 22, 1929, in _______________(?).

Murry graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama, and received degrees in Mechanical and Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama.

While in Mobile, Murry owned Maisel Construction Company and Murry Construction Company. After moving to Miami, he became president of Allied Steel Products.

Murry is currently retired and he and Laura live in south Florida.
